Project Description

The installation For the dream nobody sees but you deals with the transmission of images and the transformation of light via glass. The projected images are from my own personal library – places I have visited, dreamt about and sometimes longed for, combined with stills from The Singing, Ringing Tree – a tale I remember vividly from my childhood. The curtains in this imaginary room are drawn across the field of vision. They provide a connecting veil between darkness and light, diffusing the transition from one state to another; the hinterland of sleep, marking the point of entry to unconsciousness, between wakefulness and sleep and to the dreams nobody can see but you.
